THE iF DESIGN AWARD 2022 EXPERT JURY
One hundred thirty-two high profile design experts from over 20 countries make up this year’s iF jury panel. Their task: find and award the submissions with the greatest innovative power – and perhaps discover the next rising star in design. Our new jury process is based on a redesigned jury structure. From now on, the Chairpersons will guide all jury groups.
THE CHAIRPERSONS
The Chairpersons ensure that each participant of the iF DESIGN AWARD has an equal chance of winning. They guide the jurors’ decision-making process and ensure that each group uses the same valuation standards. They are passionate advocates for transparency and objectivity: only the quality of a design quality determines results of the award. They are appointed for three years:
THE JURORS
The jury’s task is to provide all participants with the most in-depth feedback possible on the quality of their submission. Each juror will enter his or her detailed assessment of each entry into the newly developed iF Digital Jury Tool©, which will then made available to the participant.
A geographic and cultural mix makes for more interesting discussions among the jury and helps avoid unconscious cultural biases. Design is changing and so should the jury: each year, a different group of experts is invited to serve as jurors, bringing with them a fresh perspective.
